Jena has been in the healing & creative arts leading Inspired Inquiry courses since 2003. And she is still pinching herself at the luck of being at the helm of the Cosmic Cowgirl Community as one of it’s three directors since 2010.
In addition to running the Cosmic Cowgirl Starship and keeping her elbows and nose speckled with paint, Jena thoroughly enjoys orchestrating ongoing online courses exploring the intersection of intuition and art, with a focus on art journaling as a playful way to engage in honest conversation with that life changing experience we call the muse. She believes passionately in individual genius, in the innate wisdom of the body, and in the stardusty & transformation laden path that unfurls from following the compass of your own heart.
In her own words “I’ve been studying and digging and laying on my back wondering. And what I’ve found to be true is that the part of you that really truly knows – that part that is your inner muse – what I’ve found about her, is that she likes to play. And play that involves the mushing around of curious koan-like phrases and brilliant colors and inspired inquiry is just her cup of tea. I’ve found that art is uniquely suited to training yourself to speak soul. Words and image. Color. Texture. Just like dreams, this is the alphabet language of your inner landscape.”
Known in the straightfaced world as Jenafer Owen, Jena began her Art Career with dualing backgrounds in Alchemical Acupuncture & Chaos Transformation (otherwise known as Accounting). She is now convinced that Artista is the “A” career she was always looking for. She is currently authoring & illustrating “Faces of the Muse: Conversations in Going Deeper”.
